St. Katherine of Siena earns St. Patrick’s Day Parade award

St. Katherine of Siena won the Father Kevin C. Trautner Award at the recent St. Patrick’s Day Parade. The award is given to the outstanding religious organization that displays its Irish heritage by promoting Christian values. St. Katherine has won the award six times since 2008. This year, some 64 students in fifth through eighth grades danced in the parade. In all, there were 130 participants and a decorated float. Last Friday, by tradition, the dancers marched down to Nazareth Academy Grade School to perform. ••
